Can I get pathology testing done at the medical centre?
Yes, our nurse is available every day from 9 – 2.45 for pathology testing/blood collection and Douglass Hanly Moir pick up samples every day
Do you need to make an appointment to see a doctor?
At Northwest Medical Centre, we give priority to pre-booked appointments, but also welcome walk-in patients.
Do your doctors do home visits?
Yes, our Medical Centre provides after hours home visits, if you are too sick to leave home or in exceptional circumstances. This can be organised through our receptionist on duty on the day.
I don’t have a Medicare card, will your doctor see me?
Yes, we are happy to see overseas guests, however a private fee will apply. Please refer to our schedule of fees for private patients.
How long will I need to wait to see a doctor?
At Northwest Health Medical Centre, we try our very best to stay on time however due to late arrivals, emergencies and other situations that may arise, you may have to wait. However, we are happy for you to call prior to your appointment to see if the doctor is running on schedule or not. Please note, people who have pre-booked an appointment will take priority over walk-in patients.
